1) Meeting this Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 11AM – Bring Your Policies!
We will be having a TCYL meeting this Saturday at 11AM on Saturday, May 23rd. The location will be sent shortly. At this meeting, we will discuss policies that we will be bringing to the Toronto Region Policy. The Toronto Region Policy Parliament will be held at Glendon College on Saturday, May 30th. The details can be found on Facebook.
All TCYL members are welcomed and encouraged to bring policies to Saturday’s meeting. If you cannot make the meeting, we will post the policies on our website for your feedback. TCYL is allowed to submit six (6) policies. For more information on how to write a policy, please contact us or visit http://tcyl.ca/policy/
Please RSVP for the meeting by emailing Chris Drew (president.federal@tcyl.ca)
2) Toronto Region Policy Parliament, Saturday, May 30th – 11:30AM to 4:30PM
As mentioned above, the Toronto Region Policy Parliament will take place this Saturday at Glendon College. Here is the Facebook invitation for the event.
We will have more details leading up to this event. Please try to come if you can! We need a strong crew of TCYLers out to support our policies!
3) 2009 Summer Community Events – IMPORTANT DATES!
Please see here for the dates of community events taking place in Toronto Centre. We need lots of volunteers for all of these events, so please mark off your calenders. More details to come!
4) Liberal Youth Garden Party – Saturday, June 20th
Our colleague Max Naylor will be hosting an event on June 20th. Everyone is welcome. Here is the description from Facebook:
TO RESERVE A TICKET, RSVP MAX AT naylorm@cya-ajc.ca ASAP. Tickets will be available at the door, but we want to have enough food for everyone. So if you choose to RSVP later, well, you might not get a burger off the grill. Tickets are ten dollars, and cover food, drink and fun. Other donations to the CYA are appreciated, as they are co-hosting this event along with the LYPC.
The Party will run from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, and will be at 93 Highland Avenue. Dress is casual, but dress for the weather.
People of all political stripes are welcome, and the same rules apply to every attendee: be respectful, and don’t hog all the ketchup.
See you there!
5) Vancouver Report – Zach Paikin

6) TCYL AGM – Coming Soon!
The TCYL AGM will take place in June 2009. At this meeting, we will elect a new executive, update our constitution, and set out our priorities for the rest of the year. More details will come soon!
